My Review

This book was absolutely fascinating to read. It challenged me to think about topics I hadn't even thought of before and made me question things that I never would have. But above all this book was both witty and funny, resulting in a truly fabulous story that held me captive from start to finish.

While this book tells the story of Eve chasing her son Cain, it is definitely not a religious story. Although there are plenty of facts woven into the book, this gives the story substance and makes it that much more interesting to read.

I think one of my favorite things about this book is the fact that the secondary characters are just as strong as the main characters. They have their own story and bring lighthearted fun and banter throughout.Charlie especially is just hilarious!

The only warning I will give for this book is be prepared for surprises and expect the unexpected! There is plenty of drama and some HUGE twists that give this book a serious WOW factor.

By far my favourite read of 2016 so far. I give Midnight In Eden 5 BIG book love stars!

I opened the Royale in Port au Prince Haiti, the Flamingo in Madrid, and believe it or not, Rick’s in Casablanca.
During that time, I picked up the nickname, ‘Player’ and for some reason, it stuck.
A few years ago, I decided I wanted to be a writer. More specifically, a writer of erotica. I figured I might as well put my dirty mind to work. I’ve sold stories to Hustler, Penthouse, and Bitch magazines thru the years and their dough was good. Better than most to be honest. The perks weren’t bad, either. I’ll let you think about that.
I thought my years in law enforcement and my time spent as a player in the casino world would serve me well as a writer. It has.
I tend to write things that men can read while getting a haircut, or women under hair dryers, or factory workers on break. Don’t kid yourself though. Doctors and Lawyers read my work, too.
I currently work weekends for VIP Services, a private security firm I co-own that provides protection for entertainers and celebrities. The doughs good and the perks are incredible. Yeah, big black limo, men in dark suits and darker sunglasses moving the crowds out of the way for stars. Cool job.

My Review:

This book more than lived up to the raving reviews I had heard before buying and if I could award more than 5* I would be doing so!.

The many twists and turns kept me continuously guessing throughout the book and kept me hooked from beginning to end. Forget eating and toilet breaks, Searching For Barbie was a read in one sitting kinda book.

As always the passion Tommy Crown writes with shines through in this book. I loved that we got to hear from different characters point of views, for me it really helps to understand each character better when an author gives us that and the story feels more complete. I was utterly enthralled with all of the characters, but especially Barbie. She crept into my mind and I didn't want to part with her, I was completely swept away on her journey.

Once again Tommy Crown has delivered a visual and captivating story that will stay with me for a very long time. I shall be eagerly awaiting his next release.

My Views: 

I admit to being a little nervous about reading this book. I enjoy paranormal but it so very often can go wrong, but I'm happy to say that Ruin absolutely blew me away and more than surpassed my expectations.

Lucian Bane has shown that he is versatile and able to  excel in different genre's. Ruin is VERY different to Dom Wars and yet, after speaking with some readers that would never normally read a paranormal, he has managed to make it easy to fall in love with not only the characters but also their journey too.

Ruin is very visual and it's easy to be drawn into the story and feel like you are right there alongside the characters experiencing their emotions with them. I absolutely adored Isadore and Ruin, wow is that guy HOTT!!

I am now eagerly awaiting for book 2 and give Ruin a very well deserved 5 BIG BOOK LOVE stars! Congratulations Lucian Bane on what is a smashing start to your new series.
