Synopsis
Cora Lewis is a whole lot of fun, and she knows how to keep her tattooed bad boy friends in line. But all that flash and sass hide the fact that she’s never gotten over the way her first love broke her heart. Now she has a plan to make sure that never happens again: She’s only going to fall in love with someone perfect.
Rome Archer is as far from perfect as a man can be. He’s stubborn and rigid, he’s bossy and has come back from his final tour of duty fundamentally broken. Rome’s used to filling a role: big brother, doting son, super soldier; and now none of these fit anymore. Now he’s just a man trying to figure out what to do with the rest of his life while keeping the demons of war and loss at bay. He would have been glad to suffer it alone, until Cora comes sweeping into his life and becomes the only color on his bleak horizon.
Perfect isn’t in the cards for these two, but imperfect might just last forever . . .

My Views
I started off blogging so I could share my reviews of the numerous books I get through but Rome is the sole reason I started to do blog tours. Marked Men is undoubtedly my favorite book series BAR NONE and I was soo ridiculously excited for this book you would not believe. As soon as I saw the opportunity of an ARC to review and to be part of promoting it I jumped on board and eagerly awaited (ok, maybe a bit impatiently) for Big Brother to arrive, let me tell you I was not disappointed!
Jay Crownover feeds my addiction of hot, tattooed, pierced men that ooze sex appeal and each book in the Marked Men series has me hooked and drooling over the amazing characters she creates. Now I will always stay true to Rule (Marked Men #1) and he will always hold my heart but Rome came crashing in and stole a big old chunk for himself, seriously I am in love with this guy.
This big, strong, grumpy ex- soldier is also this amazingly sweet guy that has so many demons it causes more than a few problems for him throughout the book and affects his relationship with all the characters on different levels but especially with Cora.
Cora just may be my favorite lady from this series, she's spunky, bad ass and not afraid to speak her mind which I LOVE! She was hurt badly in a previous relationship and has now convinced herself she needs this 'perfect guy' to give her the 'perfect life' but when she meets Rome he makes her feel things that makes her want to throw 'perfect' out of the window.
Rome may not have the tattoo's or piercings but he is ex-army, full of muscles and hulking hot! Plus Cora has her own body of art and jewels which puts a sweet twist on things.
These two together are not only mighty fine at giving us some spectacular sex scenes that left me squirming and in need of my very own Rome, but they also have some wicked tension going on which leads some intense but LUSH pages!
They both have skeletons and issues that they need to work through,
especially with Rome just out of the army. His flash backs and dark
memories are just so gut wrenchingly real that he broke my freaking
heart leading to me being in tears more than just a few times.
To sum up this was, hands down, MY FAVORITE BOOK OF 2013 and I give it 6 BIG BOOK LOVE STARS, honestly 5 just aren't enough.
Well done Jay Crownover, you did it AGAIN! Bring on book 4.
