~ Synopsis ~
Sometimes love is more than tragedy or bliss. Ambitious twenty-two-year-old Lexie Waters is intent on taking the advertising world by storm. When she’s offered the soon-to-be open position she’s been vying for at a swanky advertising agency, there’s only one last summer separating her from dreams of corporate success. Still bitter from catching her boyfriend cheating, she heads out for a night of fun to see her favorite band, Devil’s Garden, but fun turns into utter embarrassment when she insults the enticingly confident lead singer, Van Sinclair. Van is intrigued by Lexie’s ability to resist his charm and secretly obtains her cell number. Shocked but eager to get to know this captivating rocker, Lexie accepts Van’s invitation to see his next show, which requires an overnight stay. The overwhelming feelings that follow take them both by surprise, and with two months left before starting her sought after new position, Lexie joins the tour. As she’s catapulted into the world of groupies and wild parties, she questions Van’s commitment to her.Add to Goodreads

What
inspired me to write my Book?
There’s no doubt that I was a rock
and roll groupie in a past life. In my opinion, there’s nothing in the world
like finding a piece of music that inspires you, breaks your heart, speaks to
your soul, or allows you to vent your frustrations. There are days I start my
car, crank up my favorite tunes, and belt out the lyrics like I’m headlining an
arena. I let go of all the stress and anguish of everyday life and sink into a
fantasy world.
My other outlet for escaping
reality is to lose myself in a book. Ever since I was a little girl books have
played an integral part of my life. Like most of us, my mother read me bedtime
stories and I drifted off into a fantasy world just about every night, but my
true appreciation for literary works of art began when my mother started
working at our local Putnam Penguin book factory. When I saw her walk through
the door with the brown cardboard box taped with clear packaging tape it was
like Christmas morning. She’d come home with a variety of books whenever there
was a book sale, and I’d hide a flashlight under my covers so I could continue
to read well after bedtime.
As I grew older, romance novels
stole my heart. I’m a sucker for a happy ending and I love the intense passion
that exists between the characters. A couple of years ago, my friends and I
started a small book club and one of our discussion books was Fifty Shades of
Grey. We were captured by the amazing connection between Christian and Ana
(plus we all wanted a clone of Christian Grey). We searched for more books in
the same genre and chose Beautiful Disaster. Well, once you meet Travis Maddox
you’ll never be the same. After falling in love with these books as well as the
New Adult genre, I decided to write a book for us to review and Blissful
Tragedy was born. I combined my love for music and romance to create a story
fueled by desire and complicated by the forces of life.
Who hasn’t wondered what it would
be like to date your favorite rock god? During my single days, I probably
thought about it every time I watched my rocker heroes grace the small screen
with their music videos. Endless parties, infinite fun, no consequences, must
be perfect right? Or does time constraints, over-eager groupies, and life on
the road spell disaster? There’s more to love than tragedy or bliss.
