Finding the right girl by Violet Duke PROMO TOUR + REVIEW + GIVEAWAY

Finding the Right Girl (A Nice GUY to Love spin-off)
© Violet Duke

From the New York Times & USA Today bestselling author who brought you the Nice Girl to Love trilogy, comes a Nice GUY to Love spin-off…

Brian Sullivan has been in love twice in his lifetime.  He lost his first love to early-onset Huntington’s, and he lost the other more recently…to his brother.  And somehow, his heart has managed to heal itself after both.  Amazingly, without therapy.  That doesn’t mean he hasn’t gotten more wary along the way, however.  In fact, he’s been thinking lately that maybe his brother’s now retired nothing-but-flings rule isn’t such a bad idea.  Unfortunately, being the nice guy poster boy and all, Brian isn’t exactly versed in the fine art of flings.  So he looks to the outrageously ‘unique,’ provokingly button-pushing Tessa Daniels for a crash course.

There’s absolutely no way he’s falling in love with this one…right?

Tessa has no idea what she was thinking telling Brian that she was some sort of fling expert.  She’s never been flung before and she sure as heck doesn’t know where or how to begin flinging a guy like Brian.  It was a temporary lapse in sanity, really—no doubt because of the can’t-help-but-fall-for-him brain fuzz that hits her whenever he’s around.  Not only does the man have her being more herself than she’s ever been in her life, but he’s the only person she knows who seems to have as many demons and skeletons in the closet as she does.  What’s more, he’s got her thinking of the one thing she stopped letting herself even hope for years ago.

A happily ever after.

She really wasn’t used to anyone taking care of her, that much was clear.
And that just made all his alpha protective instincts kick up even more.  Brian scanned the street to make sure she hadn’t been followed and pulled the door wider to let her in.
“No, that’s okay.  It’s late,” she declined, half-turning to go.  “I just came by to say thanks again.  Maybe we can go out sometime to—”
He caught her elbow to keep her from walking back to her car.  “Hang out for a bit.  One beer to take the edge off.”  Though he was working damn hard at it, he couldn’t smooth out the rough gravel in his voice.  The idea of her going back to her apartment alone tonight after how broken she’d looked earlier…
“I also have pizza.  And ice cream,” he attempted again, willing her to stay.
Her lips curved up at the corners.  “Can we make beer floats?”
He almost laughed then.  She was always saying and doing the completely unexpected.  “Sure.”  He stepped back so she could walk in, and he had to forcibly order himself to stop holding onto her arm as if she were going to cut and run.  “I have chocolate syrup and whipped cream too if you want.”
Her eyes widened and her step faltered just a bit.
One look at the color rising in her cheeks and he knew she’d been thinking the same thing he’d been.  Well…maybe not the same thing.  He was pretty sure that his thoughts starring her naked after he’d licked chocolate syrup and whipped cream from her body wasn’t exactly what was running through her mind.
But then he saw those witchy bedroom eyes of hers dip down to the front of his jeans—for just a fraction of a second—and he nearly groaned out loud.
Yeah, okay, so maybe what she was thinking was better.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

I had read the Nice Guy To Love trilogy and LOVED them all so I was eager to read this book and to see Brian  get his HEA. You would not believe how EXCITED I was to finally get this book!

I was Team Connor in the first three books and I was pleased that the spin off gave us a little insight into Connor and Abby's lives now. I loved Brian in this book, he definitely has a whole lot more of SEXY ALPHA MALE going on this time and had some DELICIOUSLY HOT  moments with Tessa.

Tessa's character is just BEAUTIFUL and SWEET. She has been through so much, losing both her sister and her father to Huntington's and yet she is this strong capable women that just deals with whatever life throws at her. I loved that she is QUIRKY, a bit DIFFERENT and her positive outlook on life.

There are parts in this story that really SURPRISED me, usually when I read a book I can guess whats going to happen but the TWIST that the author wrote into this story is a HUM-DINGER. I genuinely didn't see it coming! This book definitely provoked a whole lot of emotions in me.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it for sure. I will definitely be looking out for titles from this author in the future.
