Nothing Left to Lose by Kirsty Moseley RELEASE DAY BLITZ + REVIEW +AUTHOR INTERVIEW + CHARACTER INTERVIEW + GIVEAWAY!!

 Blurb:
Annabelle Spencer’s life is every girl’s dream. She has wonderful parents, great friends, and of course the perfect boyfriend, Jack Roberts. That all changes on her sixteenth birthday when her life comes crashing down around her. Her dream night turns into a nightmare when Jack is murdered right in front of her, and she’s kidnapped by his murderer, Carter Thomas, a big time drug and arms dealer.

After ten months of being with Carter, she’s found, but the experience has totally changed her. She’s no longer the happy-go-lucky girl that everyone used to know and love; she’s now cold, hard and suffers from night terrors. It appears that Carter broke not only her body, but her spirit too. A shadow of her former self, her slogan for life is now: ‘If you don’t care about anything, then you have nothing to lose’.

Carter is currently serving time for the murder of Jack, a conviction that Anna helped secure. But his retrial is coming up because some key evidence appears to have been tampered with. Unbeknown to Anna, death threats are being received by her father, the Senator. It appears that Carter is still interested in Anna and will stop at nothing to get her back.

Ashton Taylor is brought in to protect her. He’s a newly qualified SWAT agent, a bright spark, the agency’s new golden boy. He is assigned undercover, posing as her boyfriend. His job is to help her through college and keep her safe until the end of the trial in eight months’ time.

For three years she has been the broken, damaged girl, refusing to feel emotion or pain, but can Ashton help her rebuild her life and finally deal with the grief of losing her childhood sweetheart? Will he be the one to make her see that life is, in fact, worth living and that not all men will hurt her?

All the while, the shadow of the trial looms over the both of them, taunting them, reminding them that it isn’t over yet. After all, Carter Thomas will stop at nothing to be reunited with his ‘Princess’.

My Views:

Holy freaking moly, this book was AMAZINGLY FANTASTICALLY  FABULOUS!! Grab a dictionary and look something up because these words just don't do it justice! This is one of the best books I have read so far this year. I have read all of Kirsty's published books and she never fails to disappoint. Just a chapter in and I knew I was going to love this story, cue my happy dance

It wasn't far into the book that I had my first tears. Yep, this one definitely has it's fair share of tear jerker moments. I think It's because straight away you feel so attached to the characters and get sucked into their emotions. This is a love story but it is also so much more than that, it has suspense, twists and a plot that just gets thicker and thicker

I LOVED all the characters, well apart from Carter obviously who is just evil reincarnate, but I especially loved Annabelle. She has been through so much, reading about the ways she coped with all the bad things that had happened to her was just so sad and she pretty much broke my heart with her visit's to Jack's grave.

As for Ashton, I have one word for you, SWOON!! He's all BEAUTIFUL BADASS with his S.W.A.T training and 'PRETTY BOY' looks. It's no wonder Anna cant help but like him. He is so damn romantic as well, honestly she didn't stand a chance of resisting him and neither did I.

So in case you haven't worked it out by now, I FREAKING ADORED this book and it has my 5* rate of approval. Go buy it now and I promise you wont be disappointed.

About the Author:
Kirsty Moseley has always been a passionate reader since she was a little girl, devouring books overnight, barely sleeping and paying for it at school the next day. Writing has come similarly to her and once she discovered Wattpad, she finally plucked up the courage to post one of her stories. Seven million reads later, she self-published her debut novel THE BOY WHO SNEAKS IN MY BEDROOM WINDOW, which later became one of 10 Finalists for the 2012 Goodreads' Choice Awards, Best YA Fiction. Shocked and overwhelmed by the response, she later published her second and third novels, Always You and Free Falling.

If she had to sum herself up in one word, it would probably be 'daydreamer' - but unlike most of her school teachers, she doesn't necessarily view that as a bad thing. After all, she read somewhere once that books are like waking dreams....

She lives in Norfolk, England with her husband and son.

Author Interview:

What would you say is your biggest inspiration when plotting a book?

Biggest inspiration… hmm… I like a strong male lead. Most of my males have certain character traits of my husband; it’s usually the thought of creating those males that make me want to write the book!

What is your favorite quote or scene from Nothing left to lose?

“If you don’t care about anything then you have nothing left to lose.” Anna says that to Ashton fairly early on in the story. I had that line stuck in my head before I even started the book – I knew that would be the title from the offset as soon as that line popped into my head.

If you could pick a character from any of your books, who would you say is your Favorite?

This is a tough one… while writing NLTL it was definitely Ashton Taylor from it. He was always my favourite, but then his best friend got his own story (Enjoying the Chase which comes out in March) and Nate Peters stole my heart. It’s still a tough one for me though, I kind of feel disloyal to Ashton but if I was held at gunpoint and had to choose… it’d be Nate.

Who is your dream cast for NLTL?

Anna is easy for me – Rachel Bilson. I love her, and she’s exactly as I see Anna (though maybe a little old to play a 19-year-old girl.)

Ashton is a little harder – Both of the actors I would love to see as him are too old, and don’t have the black hair, but Jensen Ackles or Stephen Amell would be my two first picks!

Give us a funny/strange fact about yourself.

Now, this is the question I was dreading because I can easily make myself look like a right weirdo if I’m not careful…. I have very many “quirks” as my husband calls them. I hate spiders, I can’t write without music, I can’t start writing on a blank page (have to copy and paste something else in to start me off and then delete it after – yep, all about the mind games!) I hate the hot weather, I hate wearing high heels (even though I need them because I’m only 5 foot tall). I hate eating in front of people. I tend to get verbal diarrhoea around strangers because I literally can’t stop talking to cover up my shyness. People NEVER believe I’m shy.

What are you reading at the moment?

Doctor Sleep by Stephen King.

When did you decide you wanted to be a writer?

I have always loved writing, but never thought I’d be a writer. I accidentally stumbled into it when I found an amateur writing site called Wattpad. Because the site was anonymous, I decided that it wouldn’t matter if I uploaded a story on there seeing as no one would know. I’ve never been very confident in my writing, or anything else really, so the feedback, encouragement and support from the users at Wattpad gave me a well needed boost and I decided to try. Wasn’t expecting it to ever happen – but it did, and I couldn’t be happier!

If you could pick a theme song for NLTL what would it be?

When I was about half way through NLTL The Wanted released a song called Heart Vacancy. It screamed Anna and Ashton. Love that song. That would be the theme tune.

Do you have plans for your next book?

Enjoying the Chase – the companion novel about Ashton’s best friend – is already written and will be out in March. After that, plans are already in motion for something new. Of course, it’s a new adult romance. Not sure when it’ll be out at the moment though.

Who is your favorite Author?

I have three, is that allowed? Stephen King and JK Rowling are my two favs, and then I have another that I met through Wattpad – her name is Natasha Preston, and I have the very great pleasure of knowing her personally too. Love that girl.

***EXCLUSIVE*** Character Interview with Ashton:

1 - What made you want to be a member of S.W.A.T?

I'd heard that the uniform attracted girls. Nah, I'm just kidding, well, maybe. I guess for me the draw of being a police officer was always there. S.W.A.T had a big draw for me because they were the ones that always saw action and got to protect the community first hand.

2 - What is it about Anna that made you fall for her?

Honestly? Her eyes. When I first met Anna the first thing I noticed about her was her big brown eyes. After that it was her feisty spirit and independence that had me hooked. Anna is a fighter, even though she doesn't see it in herself. She's the strongest person I know.

3 - Do you and Anna have a special song, if so what is it?

We don't have a song per se, but I have a song that reminds me of her, well two actually. One is Miss Independent by NeYo, and the other is Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.

4 - What was it like meeting the senator (Anna's Dad) for the first time?

Nerve-wracking. When we first met I was just starting out my assignment. That was actually the first time I'd met anyone famous, and it just had to be the guy who was running for President! Luckily for me though, I didn't stumble over my feet and fall flat on my face, and I must have impressed him at some point along the way. He is a fantastic man, and I'm proud to say I know him.

5- How long have you known Nate and can I get his phone number *wink, wink*

I've known Nate far, far too long. In fact, it's probably about time we split up and went our separate ways. Nah, all joking aside, Nate's the best friend a guy could ask for - but you probably wouldn't want to date him. He's not a one-woman-man kind of guy.

6 - If you HAD to go away for a few days and Anna couldn't go, who would you trust to look after her?

Thing with this question is that I have to put my trust in people with Anna's safety. I don't like doing it, but the other guards are all vetted and appointed by her father. I trust her father's judgement. If I had my choice, I'd appoint Nate as her secondary guard, I'd trust the guy not only with my life, but with hers which is far more valuable than mine. Unfortunately, I don't usually get a say.

7 - What's your favorite movie?

The Peacemaker. Love that one, I could watch it over and over and it'd never get old.

8 - Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Hopefully still doing something that I love. I'm quite ambitious so wouldn't want to sit stagnant in the same job. I like a challenge. Of course, being paid to guard Anna would be my idea job for life...

9 - If you could have one wish granted, what would it be?

That I could cook. I've tried so many times to master the basics, but it appears I'll never be able to bake anything without chargrilling it. I'd love to just be able to whip something up one day and it not result in us all being wheeled down to hospital with acute food poisoning.

10 - Give me 3 words that you think describe you

Over-thinker, protective and loyal.
